Academic Calendar

The registration period (Period II for exchange students) and dates of instruction can be found on the academic calendar: http://www.washington.edu/students/reg/0910cal.html#Q2.

Please note: we highly recommend that visiting graduate applicants submit complete applications well in advance of the deadlines listed, as the review process may take up to several weeks.

Autumn	March 15th
Winter	August 1st
Spring	November 1st

Timeline for Autumn Quarter Students
Jan - March	Submit official application forms to UW
March 15th	All application documents must be received
April	Autumn Time Schedule becomes available online.
April - May	Application review
Late May - June	Students admitted; UW student numbers assigned. Once student numbers have been assigned, students may apply for on-campus housing Acceptance packets express mailed to Partner Universities Please note: students interested in living on-campus should apply as soon as possible as spaces fill up quickly. We are unable to guarantee room assignments and some students may be placed in temporary space in the beginning of the quarter until a permanent assignment can be made.
June - September	Autumn Quarter Registration
Late August	Apply for Early Arrival Housing in residence halls (if needed, for orientation week)
Mid September	International Student Orientation
Late September	Classes begin

Timeline for Winter Quarter Students
July - August	Submit official application forms to UW
August 1st	All application documents must be received
October	Students admitted; UW student numbers assigned. Once student numbers have been assigned, students may apply for on-campus housing Acceptance packets express mailed to Partner Universities Winter Time Schedule becomes available online.
November	Winter Quarter Registration
January	International Student Orientation and Classes begin
