Predeparture / Arrival : Check-in
As an international exchange student, you will need to check in at the Office of International Education, 459 Schmitz Hall:
- Please bring your I-20 or DS2019, passport and I-94 card. For ISO check-in schedule, please see http://depts.washington.edu/uwiso/stu/ns.shtml
- Please confirm that the information we have for you is current. Tina wong will contact you regarding an information session which will cover varoous exchange-related issues, including your tuition waiver.
Get a Student ID Card at the Student ID Card Center on the ground floor of the Odegaard Undergraduate Library next to the By George Cafe.
Check in at Housing and Food Services in Schmitz 301 if you will be staying in the dormitory or at Steven's Court.
Attend International Student Orientation: All international exchange students are strongly encouraged to attend the international student orientation upon arrival at the UW. Orientation takes place at the beginning of every quarter at the UW and is designed to introduce you to UW and U.S. systems so that you can make the most out of your period of study at the UW. The cost of the orientation is $65. You will be required to pay this fee, regardless of whether or not you decide to attend.
