Study Abroad Opportunity for Undergrads
Still wondering what to do this summer? Why not earn the equivalent of almost 10 UW credits while spending time in one of Canada's most northern cities? The University of Alberta has a 6-week International Summer Institute in Canadian and Native Studies and offers every UW incoming student a $1,500 scholarship to attend! (And one UW student will receive a $2,500 scholarship!) International students are invited to enjoy an exciting hands-on, academic and cultural education experience in the best part of Canada during the best part of the year. New AAU/Chinese Scholarship Program
Ten to fifteen scholarships will be provided to students at AAU universities for study in China. The program is a flexible program designed to meet students' needs and interests. Before beginning in the academic programs, students may be provided 1-2 years of remedial Chinese language studies in China, depending on the initial language ability of the student. The scholarship program will cover tuition and fees, provide dormitory housing and a living allowance. Applicants can name three institutions as their preferred institutions for their program of study. Applications should be submitted to AAU. The deadline for the program has been extended to May 20. Pre-Departure Information Sessions
May 5 or 19-Join us as IPE staff and study abroad returnees share helpful info including researching and setting goals, coping with culture shock, engaging your host culture, and being a responsible traveler. In addition, check that you've completed UW requirements and get any additional questions answered. Optional pre-departure sessions will be offered May 5th and May 19th from 4-5 p.m. in the IPE Office, 459 Schmitz.
International Internship Information Session
A representative from IE3 Global Internships will be available from 12 - 1p.m. in the IPE office (459 Schmitz) on Fridays, 2/29, 4/4, 5/9 to discuss global internship opportunities.Reduced Advising on Fridays
